GMCF Eyes Record-Setting Match Day in 2017

Manhattan, KS – The Greater Manhattan Community Foundation (GMCF) held its first Grow Green Match Day in the spring of 2013.  That day saw donors give over $100,000 to local nonprofits. An additional $40,000 was added in matching funds. Each year since then has shown tremendous improvement over the previous year.  In 2016, gifts to local nonprofits reached nearly $290,000 with matching funds of over $132,000.  2017 looks to be GMCF’s best year yet as a record number of local organizations will participate in the event.  Will the fund totals follow suit by reaching record highs?  Only time will tell. What is for certain, however, is that organizations in the greater Manhattan area will once again benefit from the dedication and effort of GMCF.  

GMCF’s 2017 Grow Green Match Day will be held on Friday, April 21st.  Donations may be made in person in the Colony Square Atrium (555 Poyntz Ave) in Manhattan, KS or online at www.growgreenmanhattan.com.
