Match Madness raises over $65,000 for Cloud County area nonprofits
SALINA, Kan.— The Community Foundation for Cloud County hosted their 5th annual Match Madness event on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at the community foundation office.
This was the most successful giving day to date, as contributions totaled $29,000 more than last year. In 24 hours, 162 donors contributed a record-breaking total of $65,188.50 to the endowed funds of 31 area nonprofit organizations and community funds held at the foundation.
The foundation matched all 360 gifts proportionally from a pool of $30,000. Together, Match Madness donations and matching funds combined for a total impact of over $95,000 for the Cloud County community.
