Hiawatha Community Foundation to Host Give Back to Move Forward Giving Day

Hiawatha, KS, May 2 – The Hiawatha Community Foundation will be hosting their second annual Giving Day(s) to benefit the Hiawatha community from May 27th and 28th, 2022. All donations (no minimum) will be eligible for a 100% match from the $62,000 in available match money. Each organization is eligible for a maximum match of up to $2,000. There are 31 organizations participating in this year’s event. What a great way to support and care for our friends and neighbors within the Hiawathacommunity!

The event will begin on Friday, May 27th, 2022, and will have options for in-person or online participation. We will kick off the start of the giving event with a reception at the Fisher Center (201 E Iowa St, Hiawatha, KS 66434) from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Light snacks, water, tea, beer, and wine will be provided. Then, join us for a full day Giving Day event on May 28th at the Fisher Center from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Organizations will have displays setup to chat about their organizations and their work within the community.

Check donations will also be accepted starting on May 1st through May 28th. All donations made by check must be postmarked by 5/28 and sent to the Hiawatha Community Foundation at PO Box 173, Hiawatha, KS 66434. Check donations must be accompanied by a completed donation form found on GiveBackToMoveForward.com.

An online option is also available for those who cannot make it to the event due to various reasons. The Give Back to Move Forward Giving Day donor portal will go live at midnight on May 27th and will be open until 11:59 pm on May 28th at www.GiveBackToMoveForward.com.
